Guidelines for Guests/ Non-Attendees

In consideration of hand fastings, marriages, renewal of vows, rites of passage and other types of ceremonies that our attendees request to be held at NC Pagans Outdoors events we are; of course, attentive to the fact that on these occasions there may be several people attending as guests and not as actual event attendees. Naturally, we do not feel that it is appropriate for NC Pagans Outdoors to charge “guests” for attending ceremonies of this type although; we are still required to pay our benefactor the day rate for these guests of the Elchenburg site.

That said we feel that it is important that we set some guidelines as to what and who constitutes a guest by NC Pagans Outdoors definition.

The following guidelines apply and define the distinction between guests and NC Pagans Outdoors event attendees for ceremonies that are not consistent with the usual activities at NC Pagans Outdoors events:

  1. Any person that attends an NC Pagans Outdoors event as an invited guest for a hand fasting, marriage, renewal of vows, rite of passage; or any other ceremony that is not consistent with the usual activities at NC Pagans Outdoors events, will be considered a non-event attendee as long as the invited guest is only in attendance for such a ceremony and it’s accompanying reception and/or celebration and as long as they do not camp during the event or return the next consecutive day of the event. No fees will be required for non-event attendees that adhere to this description.
  2. Invited guests for a ceremony that is not consistent with the usual activities at NC Pagans Outdoors events that elect to camp, stay on-site overnight or return on the next consecutive day of an NC Pagans Outdoors event will be considered an event attendee; unless otherwise pre-arranged with the Directors of NC Pagans Outdoors prior to the event.
  3. Invited guest(s) for a ceremony that is not consistent with the usual activities at NC Pagans Outdoors events that has been designated as an event attendee will be required to remit the full gate fee of the event attended unless previous pre-payment for the event has been received by the deadline date posted on the NC Pagans Outdoors website.
  4. Invited guests for a ceremony that is not consistent with the usual activities at NC Pagans Outdoors events will be subject to a three (3) hour window prior to the ceremony.
  5. Invited guests for a ceremony that is not consistent with the usual activities at NC Pagans Outdoors events that arrive prior to the three (3) hour window; unless otherwise arranged with the Directors of NC Pagans Outdoors, will be considered an event attendee and will be required to remit a day rate of $15.00 for the event.
  6. Invited guests for a ceremony that is not consistent with the usual activities at NC Pagans Outdoors events are welcome to join in the evening festivities on any given day that they attend although, in the event that the invited guest ultimately makes a decision to stay; unless otherwise arranged with the Directors of NC Pagans Outdoors, will be considered an event attendee and will be required to remit the fees for the event pursuant to section three (3.) herein.

NC Pagans Outdoors humbly requests that understanding and acknowledgement be granted that it is necessary that we, as a corporation, continue to conduct business at all of our events; in and around these types of ceremonies, and that these guidelines should not be perceived as; and do not reflect, a personal agenda.

(NC Pagans Outdoors Directors and/or BOD shall; with due notice as noted in our bylaws, change the afformentioned guidelines on an as needed basis)
